Responsible Use
Astrology as reflection, not instruction
This page says plainly what Nakshatra is for, and just as importantly, what it's not for.
Entertainment and self-reflection, not fact
Everything in Nakshatra — your birth chart, weekly horoscope, palm reading, compatibility report, Year Ahead outlook, and the chat guide — is provided for entertainment and self-reflection. None of it is scientifically validated prediction, and we never claim otherwise, even when the underlying calculations (planetary positions, Moon phases) are real astronomy.
What Nakshatra is not
Nakshatra does not provide, and should never be treated as, medical, legal, financial, psychological, pregnancy, fertility, or investment guidance. If you're facing a real decision in any of those areas, please talk to a qualified, licensed professional — a reading here is not a substitute for that conversation.
No fear-based predictions
We deliberately avoid language designed to frighten or pressure you into action. Where a result touches on something sensitive, our content rules favor hedged, reflective phrasing — "may indicate," "traditionally associated with," "worth considering" — over absolute claims about your future.
If you're going through something difficult
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis or thinking about self-harm, please reach out to a mental health professional or a crisis helpline in your area rather than relying on an astrology app. Nakshatra's chat guide is not equipped to provide that kind of support, and no reading here should ever be read as a reason to delay getting real help.
Astrology vs. astronomy
It's worth keeping these two separate in your head. The astronomy in Nakshatra — where the Sun, Moon, and planets actually were at your birth moment, and where Jupiter and Saturn are transiting right now — is real, checkable data. The astrology — what those positions are said to mean — is a classical interpretive tradition, not an empirically proven one. We compute the first honestly and apply the second transparently, but we don't blur the two together.
